Baracchi Smeriglio Cortona DOC 2007 - Syrah

100% Syrah, giving a wonderful example of this elegant wine. Deep ruby red in colour, a subtle nose with strong hints of characteristic spices like black pepper, coriander with generous notes of tobacco and wet earth. The palate is very soft and sweet and pleasantly salty with a lingering finish and fruity aftertaste.

A very easy drinking example of this favourite grape varietal. 

Why not give an Italian Syrah a try rather than the Australian Shiraz.
