Villa de Puppi Refosco 2008

The grapes full name is Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso.  The wine is 13.5 % volume.  Harvesting takes place towards the end of September, vinification is in Stainless steel vats and the wine is then briefly aged in oak tanks. 

The colour is an intense ruby red, with a similarly intense nose of ripe red berries and violets, with hints of spice and elegant leather.  The tannins are sweet, leading to a powerful and persistent taste and length.

Will age for 5 years and more.
